The beast is a fierce gorilla deemed The Kongo Killer, but this wasn’t the ape’s first appearance in a Mickey Mouse cartoon short. In 1930’s The Gorilla Mystery, Mickey went bananas when he discovered that the gorilla escaped from the zoo and was threatening Minnie.
