That lovable, yet sometimes bumbling, bruin Humphrey returns to the big screen in 1956’s Hooked Bear, filmed in CinemaScope. This time around, Humphrey stirs up a ruckus in his attempts to take the easy approach to catching some fish, much to the chagrin of Ranger Woodlore. Although Humphrey made his screen debut in 1950’s Hold That Pose, it wasn’t until 1954 that he first met the fussy ranger in Grin and Bear It. Altogether, Humphrey appeared in seven cartoon shorts, but perhaps his most memorable appearance is in 1954’s In the Bag, in which he assists in cleaning up the park to the catchy tune “Humphrey Hop.”
