All Donald Duck wants to do is enjoy a pleasant day at the beach, but inadvertently he annoys a little bee who has the same plans, in the hilarious cartoon short Bee at the Beach, which flew into theaters on this day in 1950. The small-but-mighty bee seeks revenge on Donald and manages to do everything from poking holes in Donald’s raft to sending some angry sharks after the poor duck. Spike, aka Buzz-Buzz, first had it out with Donald in the 1948 short Inferior Decorator, and he must have created quite a buzz, as he would return in a number of future films to annoy his feathered foe even further.
