It seems a simple enough task. Baggageman Goofy has to load a large trunk on the 5:15 p.m. train. But nothing is ever as simple as it should be for the Goof, and when it turns out that the trunk in question belongs to a magician, well, you can imagine the mayhem that ensues. Goofy tangles with the trunks contents (and discontents), which include, rabbits, a bull, a skeleton, and an elephant, all of whom conspired to run roughshod over his plans to send the trunk on his way. Baggage Buster was directed by Jack Kinney, who was sequence director on Pinocchio and Dumbo, before first directing Goofy in Goofy’s Glider (1940) and thereafter becoming established as director of the Goofy cartoons.
