After trying some honey in the cartoon featurette Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day, Tigger is disgusted with the flavor and exclaims, “That sticky, sticky stuff is only fit for heffalumps and woozles,” creatures that don’t do much “just steal honey.” Although Pooh didn’t see any actual heffalumps or woozles except in his Tigger-induced nightmare, he did see a heffalump in Pooh’s Heffalump Movie, which was released in theaters on this day in 2005. While Pooh and his pals are terrified of heffalumps, Roo befriends one named Lumpy, only to learn that they are not, as the pals sing, “dreadfully dreaded, thoroughly three-headed, fiercely ferociously, mostly atrociously, horribly hazardous heffalumps!”
