Disney Bros. Cartoon Studio Square Day Block Party

September 21st, 2025
Los Feliz, CA

Once upon a time, there were two brothers from the Midwest with a dream to entertain the world with innovative cartoons. In 1923, Walt Disney and Roy O. Disney moved to Los Angeles to make that dream a reality, and founded the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio in the back of a tiny real estate office in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles. Since then, The Walt Disney Company has expanded into a global success, but it all started with that first cartoon studio in Los Feliz.

Join the Los Feliz Neighborhood City Council in celebrating the 1st anniversary of Disney Bros. Cartoon Studio Square Day! From 12 p.m.–5 p.m., the entire community is invited to enjoy a neighborhood block party full of activities, including:

  • Trivia
  • Photo opportunities
  • Community tables
  • Screenings
  • Skating demonstrations
  • A chance to vote on a new mural design

…and plenty more fun for the whole family to enjoy!

At 2 p.m. dress in your 1920’s best attire and stroll down the street where Walt and  Roy first created their cartoons for a costume parade (pets included!).

Don’t miss out on visiting our D23 booth—swing by to say hello. We hope that you join the Los Feliz Neighborhood City Council for this celebration!
