D23 Day at Angel Stadium was a Home Run!

By the D23 Team

Excitement was abuzz as the Los Angeles Angels took on the New York Mets on the first-ever D23 Day at Angel Stadium on Sunday, August 4! The atmosphere reached new heights when members of D23: The Official Disney Fan Club filled the stands, passionately cheering for the home team! Before the game even began, D23 Members were already fired up by an exclusive pre-game party, showcasing their Disney knowledge with trivia games and winning fan-tastic prizes. The first 23,000 guests to enter Angel Stadium were greeted with an event-exclusive D23 Mickey bobblehead, adding to the day’s excitement. As a special thank you, our amazing D23 Members also received a set of commemorative postcards featuring Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse at the opening day of Angel Stadium in 1966.

Throughout the game, Disney magic was in full swing. All around the arena, Ravensburger was handing out Disney Lorcana starter packs and teaching fans how to play! The first pitch was thrown by twin veteran Disney cast members, Matt and Cody Breidinger, with the help of the one and only Mickey Mouse! On the concourse, the Walt Disney Archives showcased an exhibit featuring props and costumes from the 1994 Disney baseball classic, Angels in the Outfield. D23 also made several lucky kids’ dreams come true by having them participate in special in-game events like game ball delivery, play ball, and steal third base. One lucky child even had the incredible opportunity to be the D23 and Angels bat kid for the day! What’s more, the Angels were able to bring home a win and created unforgettable, all-star memories for our D23 Members!

Congratulations to the Los Angeles Angels’ fitting 2-3 victory on D23 Day and thank you to all our D23 Members who joined us for this home run of an event!
