For one night in Los Angeles, go behind the scenes of the Magic Kingdom with Marty Sklar, who will share highlights from his extraordinary 54-year career with Disney as told in his new memoir, Dream It! Do It! My Half-Century Creating Disney’s Magic Kingdoms. A Q&A and book signing will follow the program.
Hired in 1955 while still a teenager, Marty spent his first decade at Disney as a member of the creative team. He soon became Walt Disney’s literary right-hand man, and during the next 40 years rose to become president and principal creative executive of Walt Disney Imagineering.
A few lucky D23 Members will have premium reserved seating for this event, so they can get an up-close and personal view of Marty’s presentation.
If you don’t get a reserved spot for the presentation, don’t worry! This event is open to the public, and everyone is welcome!
Free advance tickets are recommended, and are available through Skirball Cultural Center by clicking here, or by calling (877) 722-4849.
